Privacy Policy

What we collect

• From your Google account, when you sign in: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. If your account belongs to a Google Workspace, you play with the other players on that Workspace; everyone else plays together.
• What you do in the game: matches you play, their scores and results, your rating and its history, each throw of a rated match, and the friends you add.
• How the site is used: through Google Analytics, pages visited, matches started, venues chosen and similar events, with your device, browser and approximate location.
• Ads: Google AdSense shows ads on the site and, to choose and measure them, receives your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit.

Why

To sign you in, run matches, show the leaderboard and your friends, keep the game fair, and understand which parts of the game people use so we can improve it. We do not sell your data.

Who else sees it

• Other players see your name, picture, rating and record, and your friends see when you are online.
• Google handles sign-in, receives the usage events above through Google Analytics, and shows ads through Google AdSense.
• Our hosting provider stores the game's data in the EU.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Google Analytics and Google AdSense use their own cookies.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent banner asks you first: until you accept, Google Analytics and Google AdSense store no cookies on your device and show no personalised ads, though they may still send Google anonymous, cookieless measurements. Elsewhere they are on by default.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Match records stay part of your opponents' history too, so when you delete your account your matches remain with your name removed.

Your choices

You can change your display name in the game. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email hello@cornhole-game.io. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Cornhole is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
