Cornhole

About Cornhole

Cornhole is a free browser version of the bean bag toss game from backyards and tailgates. Two players throw 4 bags each at a board with a hole in it, and a match takes about two minutes. It runs on a phone or a computer with nothing to install.

Who makes it

Cornhole is an independent game, not made by a studio or a publisher. The code, the venues and the replies to your email all come from the same place.

How it works

  • Real physics. Every throw is simulated in 3D with the Rapier physics engine: bags slide, spin, bounce off the board and knock each other in or off.
  • Checked throws. In a rated match, the thrower's browser flies the throw and the opponent's flies it again from the same board. The two must agree, and when they do not, our server decides. Nobody can change the score from their own browser.
  • Built venues. Each of the 6 venues is a room we model ourselves, from the board to the weather: the superyacht, the frozen lake, the jungle, the arena, the tailgate, Holy Crap Farm. See them all on the venues page.
  • A bot to practise against, at 4 levels, and a rating for matches against people. The rules explain both.

How it stays free

Every match, venue and level is free, and there is nothing to buy that makes you throw better. How we pay for the servers? We are still figuring that out ๐Ÿ™‚
